Lagoa do Fogo is a crater lake but the last eruption of the volcano was 1563.
From the top, you can see a small patch of sand below in this second “tongue” that looks like a beach.
It took us hours but we managed to hiked down, made a picnic by this sand and hiked back up again.
There are a lot of fishes in this lake and is probably one of the most cleanest fishes in the world.
My kids deserved a reward today but cannot decide for broccoli or a carrot. 🤣
