My boy needs to memorize a song for the coming performance day at their school and the way he pronounces words is completely different from how I would say them. Somehow, I cannot wrap my tongue around it.
Yes, I admit I cannot read German. Or at least how it should be correctly read. But this must be changed. Mann said that politics is not constant. When (not IF) the AfD or Alternative for Deutschland/Germany becomes a force in the next years then there will be changes with the laws in relation to foreigners/migrations. Good luck with me then being a Philippine passport holder still after all these years.
So until then, I need to check my papers and know what is needed to acquire a German Passport. And if possible, dual citizenship so I do not have to give up my Philippine passport unless it is completely and absolutely necessary.
I did pass my B1 German test 12 years ago with flying colors but I have not used much German actually when I basically work in my home office and whenever I have to talk with German customers, I immediately announce that I prefer English instead. Not smart at all but here I am now, reaping the result of my laziness.
