Herbstfest @ Toom

Herbst is for Autumn and Fest for Festival. Autumn festival at Toom is just a small event really but our girl has a paper making project so we went there to get some stuff while kids got busy choosing their pumpkin and carving it.

I love halloween more than Christmas when in Germany because it actually reminds me of Christmas in the Philippines. Maybe because it has a sense of community vibe. I mean people go carolling from house to house singing christmas songs and it’s all fun and chaotic back home. In Germany, kids go trick or treats. Not for money but for some small candies. And it’s all fun and chaotic as well.

Christmas in Germany is BORING with a capital B. Even though Germany is famous for the Christmas market, but it actually ends around December 22 so it’s pretty much quieter then after that. And no, people do not do fireworks here for Christmas.

So yeah, just 5 days more to go and its costume time once again.

Greetings,

Karlota
