MFM: My Fertility Matters, is a workshop/seminar on puberty provided separately for grade 4 as part of their class lecture and parents during evening meeting. Something I wished we have in Philippines growing up.
Girl is currently learning the changes to expect in the next years including menstruation and how babies are made in general. She asked me for baby pictures yesterday and how is pregnancy if I was craving certain food or not.
The parental talk is a bit different of course. One of the parents asked what age should a girl be given a pill and the lecturer answered pill is not healthy and that is just wow! 👊👍
In my opinion, boys should be responsible enough to use a bloody condom instead of girls taking drugs to keep from being pregnant and messing up their hormonal balance.
Or what do you think? I hope we can pass this idea to our kids so they will not take things lightly. I mean sure, sex is a wonderful thing. I don’t go by the stupid religious belief how it is a sin and all that shit but with the right selected partner please who is responsible enough to really truly care.
A separate workshop/seminar will be given to kids/parents in Grade 9 or so and the sexual topics will be more in details then.
