After months of hard work, girl finally got her head on the right track and received the recommendation for Gymnasium. It is a German school system I suppose where kids are segragated based on their capabilities.
It is NOT a perfect system in my opinion because kids especially boys could be late bloomer and then they are already stuck in this system that could have been better.
Still there are parents who decided not to let their kids enroll in the Gymnasium even though they have been recommended for it. Something that I cannot understand at all. I mean, if you have the opportunity to be in the highest system of secondary study and working with other smart kids then why not take it? I mean, not everyone can just go and enroll for Gymnasium.
But whatever. We are just happy that my girl has this opportunity. Life is not easy and the sooner they learn to work for it rather than taking the easy road, the better it is for them. I think.
Now, let us hope our first choice for Gymnasium has enough place for my girl. The second and third Gymnasium is a bit far and I would love to save money on that bus ride.
