Another pinoy gathering in someone’s backyard and everyone brought food for sharing.
It started slow with new faces (mostly nurses and engineers) as introductions have to be made and then we became too comfortable that everyone just had to play table tennis together at the same time. 🤣
Kids said it was the best pinoy gathering ever because there was a pool to enjoy and lots of cute dogs to play with. The bathroom is also readily available.
In this gathering, I found out that some people met their husbands through an online dating site (filipinocupid, datingcupid, etc.) and most actually last longer with one being on their 20th year together as the longest. So someone thought of making profiles for their relatives who are already on their 30s so they are finally out of the market but we came to the conclusion that online dating is not that easy also. It comes with its own perils and adventures. And I don’t recommend making profiles for other people. That is crap. In the end, you’ll be blamed if it does not work out and it usually does not, 50% of the time for sure.
So Summer Fest is done and it’s getting cold soon. We will probably see each other again during Christmas Party.
