Kriebstein Castle

Search for “castle” in google map and Sachsen or Saxony, the region where I am in, does not disappoint. So when we had spring-like weather in February (Sunny @ 18C), we went out on a day trip.

First stop is Karl’s Erdbeerhof which we love by the way. Parking is free and there is a huge playground inside for kids. There are rides of course that you could enjoy unlimited for only 11 euro per day but do know that there are a lot of things that kids can enjoy for free as well. Basically, we just spend money here for lunch before the main event: Castle Kriebstein.

Built after 1384 according to Wiki, the castle was unfortunately closed at the time of our visit. But no biggie, we went for a nice walk around it instead and enjoyed the river Zschopau which I always pronounce as Siopao. 😁

Greetings,

Karlota
