Booked a family room which has 2 bedrooms at Sedartis located in Thalwil for us and my parents. A holiday is not complete without a lake if not an ocean I suppose. So here we are and a few steps down the street is Zurich Lake.
From Thalwil, we took a 10 minute train to Zurich because Mann wanted a break from all that driving and parking is difficult. But when we purchased the ticket for 4 adults + 2 kids, we were told that it will cost 74 euro in total. Haha. It was a shocker for all of us. But we found out that we can use all public transport and this includes unlimited river cruises within Zurich zone. This makes us happy of course.
So first thing we did is of course the river cruise and we saw how the people beat the heat by jumping into the lake. The rest of the day is spent as usual by walking for hours around the city.
Food is expensive in Switzerland. But as a treat, we enjoyed a meal at a Thai Restaurant where a meal for 2 can cost anywhere from 60 to 100 euro.
