A Request in Winter

One of the parents in my girl’s class requested other parents to please talk with their kids to use phone wisely. The kids in the class have their own whatsapp group and hundreds of useless messages in less than an hour are being sent. Some are not even nice messages at all.

As if parents wanted to have their own “me time” and do not want to be bothered so they gave kids gadgets and left them to their own device. Who is the adult here again?

My girl is not part of this whatsapp group. I do not want my kids to lose time doing nothing but reading useless messages after another. As I said, her phone is not really her phone. Not until she is 18 at least.

And yes, my kids have better things to do in life.  Like reading and learning music.  Speaking of music, kids are practicing a few minutes per day because they both have a recital again come December for piano and violin. Here my boy is playing “der Winter ist da!”

Does your kids have a life or is stuck on their phone?

Greetings,

Karlota
