The Compassion and Responsibility for Animals (CARA) Welfare Philippines reported a staggering 3,000 cases of animal cruelty in the year 2020 alone.
And I grew up in such an environment where animal cruelty are “normal”. So yeah, I would like to avoid pets because I might just turn up psychotic like them. For the sake of my sanity and to avoid rehashing memories I have witnessed growing up, I am putting my two ugly feet down.
No pets or please keep them a healthy distance from me. 😰

How about a pet fish? That’s easy maintenance. But for Filipinos, fish is not a pet, it is food!
The problem is when we go on holiday. Who will take care of them.. i am already not happy with the bunnies and the neighbor taking care of them in our absence. I feel like it would sour relationships with our neighbor if bunnies die.. and between people vs animals, i would go for people first.. some people here love their pets too much but are rude to other people.. freaking unbelievable…
