Trying to explain the idea of evolution to a 6 years old was a challenge.
My girl insists that she can not remember being a monkey and climbing trees before. She came out from my stomach as a human baby and there are a lot of pictures to prove it.
Unbeknownst to me, Mann came up with an idea to help her understand.
Mann: When mama was in Philippines, she used to be a monkey. But after many many years of constantly learning, she turned into a human finally.
The other day, girl told me that she would like to learn how to swim and drive a car someday.
Me: That is good. You should always learn. Do not be like me who did not learn how to swim and drive.
Girl: Is it because you were a monkey before?
