We had our shortest Summer holiday in the next town called Bautzen for 2020 and it turned out to be a good choice. For 3 days, these activities are perfect for a family with 2 young kids.
1. “Romantic” walking tour around the Spree heading to the center. Information Desk or the hotel should be able to provide you a map. There are lots of playgrounds along the way.
2. Saurier Park. Because kids love dinosaurs, playground and food.
3. Talsperre Bautzen or Stausee. It has climbing adventure for papa; playground, beach and the lake for the kids and restaurant for mama.
I booked a family room at Alte Pension that includes bunk bed for kids and it was a walking distance to Talsperre. Perfect getaway while Mann is away fishing in the afternoon.
