The Philippine Embassy in Berlin is now located in Luisenstrasse (Mitte). The new location is much better because it is just a walking distance to other serious looking German government offices like the Reichstag.
I am happy to see my flag and visit the embassy. Unfortunately, we were restricted to the small consular room for passport renewal and did not see the museum-like part where they showcase cultural stuff from Philippines.
We find the visit then a little bit boring.
Passport renewal is smooth and quick. The beauty of not having to compete with millions of other Filipinos.
A self-addressed envelope is required if you do not wish to claim your new passport at the embassy. UPS that cost 9,50 Euro was recommended. I like their envelope because it looks solid and official.
The passport is now valid for 10 years so see you again Embassy when I am almost 50 years old.
P.S. Exactly 5 weeks later, I received my new passport.
Greetings,
Karlota
