Capital of Slovakia and we love it more than Prague. Perhaps because we can actually take a picture without a single photo bomber. It was touristy but not claustrophobic so we could breathe.
We did not just walk around like idiots mind you but we walk with a bit of historical knowledge. So when we saw the church, we understood what that ball of circle was doing near one of its windows which is one of the cannon balls that was fired when Napoleon was attacking the city. There was another cannon ball too somewhere in the city but that is for you to find out where exactly. Reading a bit of history is also cool you know!
The Bratislava castle is HUGE. We basically spend one full day here taking our time to explore every nook and crook. The entrance fee was cheap enough too so it was worth it. Later in the evening, we found a walkway under the bridge so we can cross the river and see the castle from afar.
There are lots of restaurants in the city but we love the Red Chilli which is an Indian Restaurant near our AC Hotel Old Town. Prices and food are good and I am happy to recommend it.
