Lidl was closed for renovation and when they opened again, we saw Self check-out counters. You scan by yourself, pack everything by yourself and then pay with your card.
Not sure if this will be a thing in Philippines at all if people there really trust each other when it comes to money.
But its a bit liberating here. I feel like I am a trust-worthy person in Germany.
