Mann told me that Richtfest will be held next week. I do not know what happens in a richtfest so I asked google and I learned that:
It is supposed to be a religious rite for the spirits who lost their place with the construction.
I am not sure if there is similar thing in Philippines. What I do know however is that if my mother was here, she would make some food, place it around the tree near the new house and will start talking with the tree:
Tabi, Tabi mga di ingon nato…
P.S. Do you talk with the trees too?
