In celebration of good health and being safe from death’s door, we went on a day trip to Leisnig with a stopover first at Karls Erdbeerhof for kids to enjoy the huge playground and stockbrot roasting.

Also called Schloss Leisnig (Castle Leisnig) because it is located in Leisnig, it has been around for over 1000 years and is home to kings, emperors and the Wettins who made it into prison in the 18th century.
The museum of course features torture tools and bolts and locks used in the prison cells. Nowadays, it is used to officiate weddings and festivals to celebrate its history both the good and the bad.
And if you must know, Germany is no longer a monarchy since 1918 but the family line still exists like the House of Wettin in Sachsen region.
Enjoy the pictures.

Greetings,
