Old Quarter, Hanoi

Vietnam was cheap once you get used to a lot of zeroes (2.6 million dong something for 100 euro).

Walking around the old quarter, you need to be careful with motorcycles. They own the street as well as the sidewalk.

Vietnamese likes to sit on this small wooden chair and eating their meals along the street while enjoying the motorcycles exhaust fumes. I wouldn’t mind sitting in actually because it looks fun but not with my kids.

Thankfully, we discovered a local restaurant called Net Hue where for less than 2 Euro, I learned to assemble my own rice paper roll filled with leaves, noodles, strips of pineapple and pork.

Greetings,
Karlota
