Panglao: Alona

Panglao Island is one of the 7000 plus plus islands of Philippines that is connected to Bohol by two bridges.

The island can be travelled around by car in less than an hour and is popular for the beaches with Alona being the most famous and abused one.

We did not stay anywhere in Alona but we checked it out, swam against the waves and walked along the beach to see that some of the resorts from 10 years ago are now in ruins.

There are several street vendors walking back and forth which I care to support like Taho and Green Mango vendor but not the sea urchins.

Have you tried eating sea urchins before?

Greetings,

Karlota
