My girl is now at the age where she can join workshops. And me being me, I signed her up for it. I mean why not? School is out, we are not off to our holiday yet and trying new things is always good rather than being at home on screen.
The task is to design a lamp using a computer program, do a 3D printing of their design, construct the lamp with a bit of introduction in electrical engineering and voila, my girl is now sleeping with her very own unique lamp.
I asked the girl about the overall experience and she enjoyed it. It will not be her last workshop. And when my boy is old enough, I will also sign him up for it. And all because I go with this adage:
“we live to learn and we learn to live”
