Soca River also known as the “Emerald Beauty” originates from a cave of 990 meters altitude and empties into the Adriatic Sea. It is Alpine water so it’s cold but it tastes sweet and fresh. Swimming is not recommended unless you are wearing a neoprene wetsuit and shoes.
We had an apartment in Bovec because we needed a washing machine and from there we can walk for 30 minutes to the river. And yes, we enjoyed the rafting. I find it easy compared to the experience I had in Cagayan de Oro but I wouldn’t want to risk my kids falling over the raft.

After a few days of recharging ourselves thanks to the beautiful nature in Slovenia, we followed the river down to the Mediterranean or specifically, the Adriatic Sea.
