Whoever thought it was a good idea to head down south to the Mediterranean in the middle of Summer must have lost a screw or two. Because it was hot, hot and very hot going close to 40 on some days.
But summer without swimming is not our definition of a holiday too so we went from the mountain down to the ocean and Piran was so fine. Nevermind the traffic we have to fight through just to get there.
And yes, swimming in the salty warm water of the Adriatic Sea did it. For almost a week, we did nothing but sleep, eat and swim.
We had a connecting room for the kids and us at Hotel Vile Park Premium but this is all somehow connected to Hotel Histrion so we get to enjoy amenities in both hotels.
And since any new place is never complete without a visit to the museum, we walked to the center and enjoyed this maritime museum with a lovely view of the marina. Not sure, if we will ever find ourselves back here again but we are grateful to have our moment here together.
