Mann always talks about not having enough time for personal stuff like fishing and talks forever about doing just that if and when he is out of his job.
And since wishes do come true and he really does not have a job anymore, he was feeling lost that he was fishing even much less than when he had a job. Funny that!
It was not nice at all to witness a 52 year old guy suddenly out of his routine. But I did make that vow to stay in both good times and bad times which I am honoring as we speak.
I never see myself as a “pep talker” but yeah, I actually become one when it matters. But once in a while, I get to kick his butt. I made Mann work on his resume (something he did not do for the last 20ish years) just to keep him busy and avoid spiraling. And when that was done, I sent them to that one company I was eyeing for him. 😁
Men are territorial I suppose and let’s face it, work is like a relationship too. So while he was stuck wondering what went wrong with the economy, the business and losing his social contacts, I insist that he needs to move forward. And forward he did because that company to which I applied for in his behalf actually called him and gave him a contract. Yeah! 🥳
To celebrate the signing of a contract, dragged Mann to the newly opened restaurant. 😍
Greetings,
Karlora
P.S. Mann’s friend was also looking for a job and I pointed the same company to him and if it works well, Mann will be bringing his social contacts along too. 🤭
