Not sure if other grade schools organize similar activity but ours do. Every year. And we always participate together as a family. It is after all a family hiking day or Familienwandertag. Germans do love to connect words together. ðµâð«
Basically, we set up a meeting place for us to drive to and park our cars. And when everyone is there, we started walking. And for hours too.
But I love this activity. Never mind that I do not really talk with other parents. As what I said to my husband, I am one of those people who enjoys silence. Besides, I do not think I will ever be able to connect with any Germans as I would have with another Bisaya.
And surprise, surprise, we saw another castle. A bit ruined perhaps but still a castle. Seriously, if I did not know better, I would think there is a castle in every kilometer in the region of Sachsen.
Anyway, enjoy some of the photos.

Greetings,
Karlota
